Portable nuclear power plants

I'm not so sure this is a really good idea for developing countries. But small, self-contained, minimal-maintenance nukes may not be a bad thing in developed countries. Especially as a means to decrease the use of fossil fuels. A collection of them could even do a better job of load-following that current power plants can not.

Reactors work best if they are left at full power for extended periods or shut off. You either have 1000 megawatts or nothing. With a reactor farm you could have a broad range of power levels to choose from.
