The Reality of Torture

Dan Froomkin writes about the confessions of a growing number of Bush (hswib) administration officials that, Yes, we tortured. The irony of it all is that torturing was such a bad idea that there is no way to prosecute any of the prisoners who may actually be guilty of terrorism.

Dahlia Lithwick and Phillipe Sands provide excellent insight as usual.

Quite ironic isn't it? The regime that touts "keeping us safe" is actually making it difficult to prosecute actual criminals...all while breaking laws themselves.

It is actually quite amazing when you stop to think about it.
