Start here to cut health care costs
Outfits like Abbott Laboratories game the patent system so that no generic drug is able to compete. This is how drug companies ripoff consumers and the government. This needs to be fixed.

But without the patent gaming, what kind of drug company is going to be willing to fork out the overhead needed to create new, lifesaving meds?
If the current patent law doesn't provide them enough profit, it should be changed. But gaming the law is a deceptive and fraudulent practice.
