David Blankenhorn and Judith Stacey trade shots over family values. I share Judith's opinion that David's organization is a much needed voice on this front. Robert Reich mistakenly characterizes all "family values" advocates as wanting to punish single parents, gay people, working women, poor people, and anyone else who doesn't fit their "Ozzie and Harriet model." Reich says these "family values" spokespeople are sexist, they favor the rich, they turn a blind eye to corporate abuses, and so on. I think many of them are. This is way voices of reason like Blankenhorn need to be heard. Stacey points out a necessary caveat. According to her, Blankenhorn falls short in his lack of inclusion of same-sex couples. Get the complete picture, David.
