Non-profit drug company

This is refreshing. Instead of wringing their hands about developing medications for small markets these folks are doing something about it. Drugs for orphan diseases don't get developed because of the lack of profit prospects. This company obtains the rights to promising drugs, gets the regulatory approvals, and sells them at cost.
The problem is the industry is so profitable, so these diseases don't make it onto the radar. The people who have these diseases are not in sight because they cannot pay. But we can benefit from the wealth of the industry, because they have such a huge R&D machine. They make so many more discoveries than they can possibly use.
